  1. GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE:  OPERATION of all departments and services of the Long Term Care Facility (Aging Services Division).


1.      Implements GSHA objectives as determined and directed by the governing body.

2.      Works cohesively with other health care professionals to maintain census and to ensure high quality care will be rendered to the residents at all times. 

3.      Works with management staff to help motivate all staff and develop effective recruitment and retention programs.

4.      Interprets personnel practices within policy guidelines and recommends changes as necessary.  Authorized to hire, fire, promote, transfer, and discipline all staff, and to delegate said functions to department heads or supervisors.

5.      Reviews and evaluates the work performance of assigned personnel as well as counsels/disciplines assigned personnel according to established personnel policies.

6.      Promotes positive intradepartmental relationships; promotes collaboration between departments; provides consultation, counseling and guidance. Utilizes a problem solving approach in resolving problems with other departments and the medical staff.

7.      Prepares periodic and special reports; makes recommendations to CEO and advisory board.

8.      Facilitates maintenance of substantial compliance with Federal and State regulations and laws, in collaboration with all departments.

9.      Assures policies and procedures and job descriptions are accurate, written, and updated annually; maintains facility's employment standards.

10.  Maintains favorable public relations within the community to enhance the image of the association.

11.  Reports monthly to the CEO/Board of Trustees.
